Mr. Sri Kumar Ranjit Ranjan ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 12-12-2018 The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bihra P. S. Case No. 136 of 2016 registered under Sections 392 and 412 of the Indian penal Code.

Allegation is of snatching of Apachey motorcycle of the informant by some unknown miscreants. Later on, petitioner has been named in the FIR and apart from that, he is accused in 30 other cases.

Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that except criminal antecedents, there is nothing against the petitioner and he is in custody since 19.02.2017 Heard learned APP also who has opposed the prayer for bail stating that in course of investigation looted vehicle was recovered from the petitioner and apart from that he is accused in several cases.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.65922 of 2018(3) dt.12-12-2018 2/2 Having heard both sides and in the facts and circumstances, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. However, considering the fact that he is in custody for about 20 months, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial without giving unnecessary adjournment and at the same time, the Superintendent of Police, Saharsa is directed to produce the witnesses in the court on the date fixed so that trial may be concluded as expeditiously as possible.
