The petitioner is in custody in connection with Maner P.S. Case No. 589 of 2016 (S.T. No. 142 of 2018) for the offence under Sections 498(A), 304(B) and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 23.01.2017.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 23.01.2017, the court below (7th Additional Sessions Judge, Danapur, Patna) is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of nine months from today, failing which, the court below is directed to release the
