2. It transpires to this Court that, vide order dated 04.04.2018, counsel for the petitioner had intimated to this Court that the petitioner died during the pendency of the writ petition and that he would file a substitution petition. However, even after a lapse of about seven years, no such substitution petition has been filed till date.
3. Hence, it appears to this Court that the petitioner is

4. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed.
