2. The petitioner, who superannuated from the post of Messenger, Bihar State Sport Authority, has approached this Court seeking a direction upon the respondents to release the amount of death-cum-retiral gratuity, as also the other

Patna High Court CWJC No.014822 of 2024 dt.23-07-2025 2/3 admissible amount, for which the petitioner is found entitled.

3. During the pendency of the writ petition, the respondent authorities have issued and sent the necessary letters to the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna showing sanction of all the admissible amount under pension/gratuity.

4. It is the specific contention of the petitioner that despite the sanction letters have been issued long back on 25.06.2025, till date actual amount has not been credited in his account.

5. Learned Advocate for the State submits that since the amount under the head of pension/gratuity has already been sanctioned and in this regard letter has been sent to the Accountant General, Bihar, Patna, the same shall be paid to the petitioner after issuance of authority slip.

6. Considering the submissions set-forth and the materials available on record, this Court directs the Accountant General (A&E), Bihar, Patna to issue necessary authority letter in favour of the petitioner in response to the letter, as contained in Memo No. 2840 dated 25.06.2025 expeditiously. Upon issuance of the authority letter, the Treasury Officer shall ensure payment of all admissible amount within a further period of four weeks.

7. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
