1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.(i) To hold and declare that the petitioner is a person who had proactively participated in Public Movement under the leadership of Sri Jai Prakash Narayan, popularly known as"J.P.

Movement" and had undergone imprisonment during the period 10.07.1975 to 15.01.1977 (1 Year 6 Months, 6 Days), hence, he is eligible, like others, to get Pension and free health services from the State of Bihar, known as "Samman Pension" under the "J.P. Samman Yojana".

Patna High Court CWJC No.15192 of 2024(2) dt.03-10-2024 2/2 (ii) For issuance of an order(s)/direction(s) or a writ in the nature of Mandamus, commanding the Respondents to Grant Pension / Revised Pension and health benefits immediately from now onwards to the petitioner under the "J.P. Samman Yojana".

(iii) For issuance of an order(s)/direction(s) or a writ in the nature of Mandamus, commanding the respondents concerned to calculate all arrears of pensions/revised pension, since its inception till date and give the same to the petitioner immediately, with penal interest of 18%."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Principal Secretary, Department of Home, Government of Bihar, Patna, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off.
