The petitioners are in custody since 16.02.2017 in connection with Samastipur P.S. Case No. 09 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners, who are of clean antecedent, are innocent and have not committed any offence. In fact, nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioners. The petitioners, who are said to be students, are rotting in custody since 16.02.2017.

No.19728 of 2017 (2) dt.04-05-2017 2/2 Considering the aforesaid fact, let the above named petitioners be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond each of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Additional District & Sessions Judge, Samastipur in connection with Samastipur P.S. Case No. 09 of 2017.
