2. Petitioners apprehends their arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 341, 323, 354(B), 379, 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
3. It is alleged that these petitioners along with other F.I.R. named co-accused persons committed torture and harassment to the informant due to non-fulfillment of demand of dowry.
4. Petitioner No. 1 is father-in-law and petitioner no. 2
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.67284 of 2023(2) dt.19-10-2023 2/2 is mother-in-law of the informant. Thrust of accusation is against husband of the informant. Allegation against the petitioners is general and omnibus. Petitioners are separate in mess and property and have got no concern with family affairs of the informant. Petitioners claim clean antecedent.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposes the bail application.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the above named petitioners, in the event of their arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah in connection with Bettiah Mahila P.S.
