Petitioner is in custody since 06.03.2017 in connection with Tajpur (Halai) P.S. Case No. 255 of 2016/ G.R. No. 2066 of 2016 registered under Sections 341, 447, 448, 323, 307, 379, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner, who is of clean antecedent, is innocent and has not committed any offence. In fact, the petitioner and the informant happen to be gotiya and on account of a land dispute, scuffle took place between the parties. The injuries sustained by the informant side are simple in nature. Moreover, co-accused, Dhawanti Devi @ Malti Devi has already been granted bail by the learned court below. The petitioner is rotting in custody for the last three months.

Case No. 255 of 2016/ G.R. No. 2066 of 2016.
