The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Laxamipur P.S. Case No. 255 of 2018 for the offence registered under Sections 385 and 387 of the Indian Penal Code.

The allegation is regarding three unknown accused persons having threatened the informant, who is the Supervisor of a Company engaged in the construction of canal with dire consequences if the work is not stopped. It appears that subsequently co-accused person, namely, Gorelal Tanti was arrested in one other case wherein he disclosed in his confession that he and the petitioner herein were involved in the present case and had been instrumental in committing the occurrence in

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that there is no material on record to suggest the complicity of the petitioner in the alleged occurrence and the petitioner is having a clean antecedent.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on anticipatory bail in the event of his arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate-1st Class, Jamui in connection with Laxmipur P.S. Case No. 255 of 2018 subject to the conditions as stipulated under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
