At the outset, learned counsel for the Punjab National Bank, submits across the Board that so far the due amount of pension of deceased father of the petitioner from November, 2014 to February, 2016 along with applicable rate of interest is concerned, the same has been duly paid to the petitioner on 04.12.2023. However, he fairly submits that he is not in a position to apprise this Court as to what rate of interest has been accrued and credited in the account of the petitioner.

3. The aforesaid fact has not been controverted by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. Considering the submission made on behalf of the respondent/Bank, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent/Bank, especially respondent no.6, the Chief Manager, CPPC, Patna, to furnish the statement of account along with the rate of interest accrued upon the due amount, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. On receipt of the statement of account, the petitioner is at liberty to file a representation before the respondent/Bank, if not satisfied with the rate of interest accrued upon the delayed payment.
