Md. Nadim Seraj, GP-5 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 23-10-2019 This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for directing the respondent nos. 1 to 3 to give police protection to the petitioner.

2. Threat perception to the life of a person to enable him to seek police protection would require examination by the competent authority on the objective basis.

3. It has been pointed out by the learned counsel for the State that there is a District Level Security Committee in each district of Bihar for the purpose of evaluating threat perception and providing police protection in appropriate case.

4. In that view of the matter, if the petitioner apprehends any threat perception to his life, he may file a representation before the District Level Security Committee, Patna for the police protection. In case of such filing, the Committee shall look into the matter and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
