====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 04-01-2023 Heard Mr. Dhannjay Kumar No 2, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. Shaheen Begum, learned A.P.P. for the State.

In compliance of order dated 07.12.2022, a report was submitted by Additional District and Sessions Judge-VII-cumSpecial Judge, POCSO, West Champaran at Bettiah stating therein that chargesheet has been submitted against the petitioner. The allegation against the petitioner is for alleged offence to have been committed by him under Section 376 of Indian Penal Code and under Section 4/6 of POCSO Act. It appears that the trial has not been concluded in spite of the specific period prescribed under Section 35 of the POCSO Act.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.66909 of 2022(3) dt.04-01-2023 2/2 The trial court is directed to abide by the statutory period and conclude the trial expeditiously.

Accordingly the present bail application is disposed of.
