Petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Majhaulia P.S. Case no. 109 of 2019 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 387 of the Indian Penal Code. It is submitted that merely because the petitioner's name has been taken by co-accused, namely, Pintu Kumar, he has been implicated in the instant case.

The learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for bail. He has submitted that it is a case of demand of extortion and it is further alleged that on failure to make payment, the accused has resorted to firing at the shop of the informant.
