2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Samastipur (Town) P. S. Case No. 506 of 2008, dated 10-09-2008 instituted for the offence punishable under Sections 20, 22 and 23 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

3. Prayer of the petitioner for bail was earlier rejected by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 02-03-2009 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 981 of 2009.

4. This is the second attempt for bail of the petitioner. Save and except custody period, nothing has changed.

5. A report was called for from the learned trial court

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.74987 of 2024(4) dt.18-01-2025 2/2 which was available to this Court through letter No. 311/2024 dated 11th November 2024, which suggests that out of eight charge-sheet witnesses four prosecution witnesses were examined till date and by all probabilities, trial may likely to be concluded within a period of six months.

6. In view of the aforesaid factual submission coupled with the fact that three months has already elapsed, learned trial Court is directed to take all endeavour and conclude the trial positively within a period of three (03) months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid, observation, the prayer for bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
