ABHISHEK REDDY ORAL ORDER 27-03-2025 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents-Bank has stated that out of three Gold Loan Accounts taken by the petitioner, the petitioner has submitted spurious gold in respect of two accounts and when the authorities come to know about the said fraud committed by the petitioner lodged an FIR before the Economic Offence Unit. Learned counsel has stated that subsequently the petitioner has paid the entire outstanding loan amounts of all the three loan accounts and the respondents-Bank have written a letter dated 05.07.2023 to the Superintendent of Police, Economic Offence Unit regarding issuance of "no objection" to release the Pledged Gold Ornaments (Annexure R/2), however the respondents-

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents-Bank has stated that except the loan Account No. 35920600001289, the gold pledged in the other two accounts have already been returned.

Having regard to the fact that the entire loan accounts have already been cleared by the petitioner, this Court is of the opinion that the ends of Justice would be met if a direction is given to the respondents-Bank to release the Pledged Gold in respect of Gold Loan Account No. 35920600001289 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
