Petitioner has inter alia prayed for following reliefs in the paragraphs no.1 of the writ petition:- "This is an application for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing commanding the Respondent to appoint the petitioner as a Govt. servant on any suitable Post on compassionate ground as the father of petitioner died on 5.1.2008 during service period when ever post is vacant in the department."

3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.14463 of 2012(5) dt.06-05-2024 2/2 petitioner submitted that in spite of the fact that petitioner had applied for compassionate appointment, whose father had died in harness on 05.01.2008, his case for compassionate appointment was rejected merely on the ground that petitioner was over age and his height was less than what is required for the post of constable in CRPF.

4. Considering the fact that by efflux of time, the petitioner has attained the age more than what is required for the post of constable in CRPF and the said fact has been stated in paragraphs no.6 and 7 of the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the Union of India, no order is required to be passed.

5. The writ petition is disposed of.
