2. The petitioner has filed the instant application for the following relief(s) :- "1. That this is an application for quashing the memo no. 1557 Ra Ka dated 06.06.2025 issued from the office of Superintendent of Police Railway, Patna who has rejected the claim of petitioner for compassionate appointment on the ground of delay."

3. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and having perused the contents of the petition, it transpires that the relevant facts in brief are that the father of the petitioner who

Patna High Court CWJC No.15119 of 2025(2) dt.31-10-2025 2/2 was employed in the Bihar Police and at the relevant time was working on deputation at Gaya Railway Junction died on 23.7.1990. At the time of his death, the petitioner herein was two and half years old.

It is the case of the petitioner that on attaining majority, he filed an application for appointment on compassionate ground on 17.6.2006 and no steps having been taken by the respondent authorities, he continued filing representations, the last being on 6.5.2025. The same has been rejected by order dated 6.6.2025 (Annexure-P/11) and hence the instant writ application.

5. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, the Court was inclined to dismiss the instant writ application with costs, however having heard the observation of this Court, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant application.

6. In view of the above, the writ application is dismissed as withdrawn.
