2. The petitioner is in custody since 04.01.2018 in connection with Special Case No. 03 of 2018 arising out of Vigilance P.S. Case No. 01 of 2018 for the offences alleged under Sections 7/8/13(2) read with Section 13(1)(D) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

3. It is submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated and in any event he was only the Chowkidar who was entrusted by the concerned Police Officer who had accepted the illegal gratification, to put away the money.

4. Learned counsel for the Vigilance appears and has been heard.

5. Having regard to the nature of the accusations and gravity of the offence alleged, this Court is not inclined to grant the privilege of bail to the petitioner. The bail petition stands dismissed.
