JUSTICE SATYAVRAT VERMA ORAL ORDER 04-03-2023 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State through the virtual Court proceedings. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 30(a) and (b) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has antecedent of one case and is in custody since 22.05.2022. Petitioner was arrested on the allegation that he was indulged in manufacturing of illegal liquor as detailed in the FIR. It is further submitted that petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case.

Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposes the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.

Considering the submission and period of custody, the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.691 of 2023(2) dt.04-03-2023 2/2 petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below where the case is pending in connection with Excise P.S. Saran Case No. 200 of 2022.
