2. The petitioner after having been successfully completed his service as an Assistant in Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara superannuated on 31.01.2023. Subsequently, keeping in view the workload of the University, the petitioner was duly appointed on contractual basis with effect from

Patna High Court CWJC No.15113 of 2025 dt.01-12-2025 2/3 01.02.2023 by the order of the Vice-chancellor in the light of the resolution issued by the General Administration Department, Government of Bihar, contained in Memo No. 10000 dated 16.07.2015. In the meanwhile, the Government of Bihar, in the Department of Education, has also come out with a letter no. 3655 dated 30.09.2023 addressed to all the Registrars of the Universities of Bihar that a decision has been taken with regard to payment of salary and earned leave to the Vice Chancellor/ Pro Vice Chancellor appointed and working in the Universities after their retirement.

It was further informed that those officers/employees working/posted in the University after retirement from the said organization or any other organization, their pension would be treated as part of their payable salary. The petitioner on being dissatisfied with the honorarium paid to him, submitted a representation before the concerned authorities of the University, but to no effect. In the meanwhile, the contractual employment of the petitioner was extended time to time. Lastly, the same has been extended for a further period of eleven months with effect from 04.06.2025, vide Memo No. Examination/846/25 dated 18.06.2025, issued under the signature of Registrar of the University.

3. Notwithstanding the aforesaid fact, when no

Patna High Court CWJC No.15113 of 2025 dt.01-12-2025 3/3 action was taken on the representation filed on behalf of the petitioner, the petitioner brought the entire fact before the ViceChancellor of the University on 22.01.2025 ventilating his grievance, but to no effect, hence the present writ petition.

4. On the other, learned Advocate for the University has submitted that since the petitioner has already approached before the Registrar of the University, who shall look into the matter and consider the claim of the petitioner.

5. Having considered the limited grievance of the petitioner, this Court extends the liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh representation along with all the supporting documents within two weeks from today.

6. In case, such a representation is filed the same shall be considered and disposed of by the Registrar of the University, keeping in mind the Government Resolution dated 10000 dated 10.07.2015 as well as letter no. 3655 dated 30.09.2025, preferably within a further period of eight weeks.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.
