This is an application for bail in connection with Trial No. 1933 of 2017, arising out of Ajimabad P.S.Case No. 17 of 2015 registered for the offences punishable under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner is not named in the FIR and he has been made accused in this case on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused and it further appears from perusal of petition that he has been made accused in six other cases also of similar nature. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that except confessional statement there is absolutely nothing against the petitioner and so far other cases are concerned, he is on bail in those cases and he is in custody for one and a half months in this

Heard learned APP also.

Having heard both sides and in view of allegation as well as criminal antecedents, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

However, learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial of this case and try to conclude it within six months. If trial is not concluded within the said period, petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.

With the above observation, this application is dismissed.
