The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Kotwali (Adampur) P.S. Case No.585 of 2016 registered under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. The accusation is that Archana Verma, wife of Mayank Shekhar, and Mayank Shekhar, son of Gopichand Verma, approached the Bihar Gramin Bank, Bhagalpur Branch, where the informant was the Senior Manager, for taking the loan, presenting the registered agreement to sale of land bearing No.770 dated 25.01.2014 and also the Chirkut, saying that the sale deed of the land has already been executed, and, accordingly, took loan Rs.16,00,000/- but, ultimately, the sale deed was not produced by them. In course of inquiry, it was detected that Archana Verma and Mayank Shekhar got executed the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.64024 of 2019(2) dt.18-10-2019 2/2 registered agreement to sale the land by putting Bimla Devi, the mother of Archana Verma, in place of Renu Devi, wife of Murlidhar Dubey, and the petitioner being the counsel identified Bimla Devi as Renu Devi.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, in fact, the petitioner is an Advocate and he was approached by Archana Verma and Mayank Shekhar to identify Renu Devi at the time of execution of registered agreement to sale and, at that time, the petitioner had no knowledge that they had put Bimla Devi in place of Renu Devi. Having considered the facts and the circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender by him within six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bhagalpur, in connection with Kotwali (Adampur) P.S. Case No.585 of 2016, subject to the conditions laid down under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
