The petitioner by filing the present writ petition, seeking a direction upon the concerned respondent to ensure payment of revised pension from the period 01.04.2017 to March, 2021, after calculating the arrears of same with statutory interest and furthermore to add 20% of the amount of his pension, as he has attained the age of 80 years, in view of the

Patna High Court CWJC No.17058 of 2022(2) dt.24-11-2023 2/2 circulars issued by the Government.

3. A Counter Affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondent no. 5, Senior Treasury Officer, Lakhisarai.

4. A categorical submission has been made that he has been informed by the branch manager, Punjab National Bank, Lakhisarai that the revised pension alongwith arrears and extra pension after attaining 80 years of the pensioner has been paid upto date in July, 2021. A calculation chart has also been brought on record which is part of Counter Affidavit.

5. Considering the submissions made on behalf of the parties, the present writ petition stands disposed off. However, if the petitioner has still any grievance in relation to the calculation made on behalf of the authorities, he is at liberty to file an appropriate representation before the concerned respondent preferably within a period of 4 weeks.

6. In case such a representation is filed, the same shall be considered and disposed off expeditiously in accordance with law.
