The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Amnor P.S. Case No.72 of 2022, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 353, 307, 401, 413 and 414 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

290 litres of country made liquor has been recovered from a Scorpio vehicle. The petitioner and other co-accused persons fled away from the place of occurrence. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. The petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as stated in paragraph-3 of the bail petition. It is further submitted

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner by submitting that the seized Scorpio vehicle was stolen one.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid and the allegations made against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is hereby rejected.
