The short point raised by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that though under Office Order dated 31.12.2007 issued by the District Superintendent of Education, Saharsa, he has been allowed Senior Selection Grade Scale with effect from 01.04.2007, the monetary benefits in respect thereof have not been paid to the petitioner. Since the issue lies in a very narrow compass, this Court would not consider it appropriate to keep this writ petition pending. Ultimately, the monetary benefits, pursuant to Annexure 8 dated 31.12.2007, have to be paid by the respondents themselves.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances, this Court would direct that the petitioner's representation (Annexure 9) be disposed of by the District Programme Officer (Establishment), Saharsa (respondent No 11) within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. This disposes of the writ petition.
