JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 25-09-2024 Though the present writ petition has been filed for directing the District Magistrate-cumLicensing Authority, Aurangabad i.e. the respondent no. 2 to renew the license of the petitioner bearing License No. 1753 of 1982, for which applications have been filed on 05.01.2018/31.12.2020, but at the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the respondent no. 2 to take a final decision in the matter.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the

Patna High Court CWJC No.14690 of 2024(2) dt.25-09-2024 2/2 respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid applications are still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate-cum-Licensing Authority, Aurangabad to consider the aforesaid applications filed by the petitioner for renewal of his arms license, in case the same have been filed and are still pending consideration and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
