JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 10-04-2018 The petitioners claim to be the students of T. M. Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur. They seek quashing of the draft structure for the students' union, dated 10.01.2018 and notification, dated 24.02.2018, issued by the University, for holding of election of students' union of the University. The election of the students' union has already been concluded with the announcement of result on 03.04.2018. The election process is governed by the Statute for Students' Union of the University, Article 22 thereof provides for grievance redressal mechanism,

Patna High Court CWJC No.5257 of 2018(2) dt.10-04-2018 2/2 under which a Grievance Redressal Cell, constituted by the Vice-Chancellor, has the jurisdiction to entertain election related grievances.

The petitioners have statutory remedy, which they can avail.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners have approached the Grievance Redressal Cell of the University.

In that view of the matter, this application is disposed of with an observation that if the petitioners are found to have approached the Grievance Redressal Cell, the Cell will decide the disputes raised by the petitioners in accordance with law within a reasonable period of time.
