2. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that he is not willing to press the prayer for bail with respect to petitioner no.1, namely, Munajir Alam at this stage. So far as petitioner no.2, namely, Sagul Alam @ Sagur @ Md. Sagul is concerned, he is father-in-law of the deceased.
3. The petitioner No. 2 has prayed for bail in connection with Azamnagar P.S. Case No. 173 of 2025 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 123, 85, 80, 61(2) and 3(5) of the B.N.S.
4. The case of the prosecution, in short, is that the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No. 69907 of 2025(2) dt.08-10-2025 2/3 sister of the informant, namely, Sonam Khatun (deceased) was married with petitioner no.1. It is further alleged that she was subjected to cruelty on account of demand of dowry. It is further alleged that all the in-laws have killed her.
5. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He has been falsely implicated in this case. Petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased and from perusal of the postmortem report also it will transpire that the doctor has found no antemortem injury over the body. The viscera has been preserved. It has also been submitted that the main thrust of allegation is against husband. Petitioner is having no criminal antecedent and he is in judicial custody since 03.06.2025.
6. Learned APP appearing for the State has vehemently opposed the application for bail.
7. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner No.2, namely Sagul Alam @ Sagur @ Md. Sagul on bail. The petitioner no.2 is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to
