2. The petitioner was staying in room No.107 of M/s. Yuvraj Hotel at Begusarai from that room certain quantity of liquor was seized and accordingly Barauni P.S. Case No.184 of 2017 was lodged against the petitioner under Sections 30(a)/37(a)/37(b) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
3. The room of the hotel was also seized by the authorities. By filing the present writ petition the petitioner has prayed for unsealing of the room as hotel is charging rent from this petitioner, which is encombursome liability.
4. Since no purpose is going to be served by continued locking of the said room, the authorities are directed to immediately unseal room No.107 of M/s. Yuvraj Hotel, Begusarai. The
Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.1447 of 2017 dt.04-09-2017 P2/ authorities are further directed to release the articles of the petitioner, which were seized at the time of recovery of liquor except the liquor.
5. With the aforesaid observation, this application stands disposed of.
