The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Barauli P.S. case No. 253 of 2019 registered under Section 384 of the IPC and u/s 3⁄4 of Prevention of Corruption Act.

The gist of the allegation is that the petitioner was demanding illegal gratification for issuing rent receipts to the land owners and the entire proceeding was videographed and the CD of videography was made available to the Collector and on such the present case has been registered. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the CD is doubtful. The petitioner never demanded any illegal gratification from any land owner but from the facts, it appears that entire process of demanding illegal gratification for issuing

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.66671 of 2019(2) dt.24-10-2019 2/2 rent receipts was videographed and the same was made available to the Collector.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
