JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) Date : 30-04-2018 Seeking exception to an order dated 5.1.2018 passed by the learned Writ Court in C.W.J.C. No.5047 of 2017 this appeal has been filed under Clause 10 of the Letters Patent. Petitioner appeared in the Matriculation examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board way back in the year 1986, mark-sheet indicating the date of birth and certificates were issued to the petitioner 30 years back in the year 1986 and the writ petition was filed in the year 2017 after 31 years

Patna High Court LPA No.146 of 2018 dt.30-04-2018 2/2 claiming correction in the date of birth. The learned Writ Court held that after 31 years correction of the date of birth is not possible and refused to exercise its discretionary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution on such consideration. In doing so, we are of the considered view, the learned Writ Court has not committed any error warranting reconsideration by us. The appeal is, therefore, dismissed.
