JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 15-05-2018 This writ application has been filed on behalf of Shanti Memorial College of Education, Pirpar Begumpur, Nalanda, seeking a direction to the Respondent-Bihar School Examination Board for granting affiliation for D.El. Ed. Course. It is the stand of the petitioner that the school has been granted requisite recognition by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE).

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that since the NCTE has granted recognition, the Board has an

Patna High Court CWJC No.9625 of 2018(2) dt.15-05-2018 2/2 obligation to grant affiliation in view of the provisions under Section 14 of the National Council for Teachers Education Act, 1993.

In view of the petitioner's claim that the NCTE has granted recognition, I dispose of the writ application with a direction to respondent nos. 5 to 7 to ensure that a decision is taken on the question of grant of affiliation within two weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, strictly in terms of the previsions under Section 14 of the Act and the law laid down by the Supreme Court in the case of Maa Vishno Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya Vs.
