1. The limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition is to direct the District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur, to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner in the month of May, 2023, for grant of arms license.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending

Patna High Court CWJC No.14829 of 2024(2) dt.30-09-2024 2/2 consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
