Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Danapur P.S. Case No.621 of 2015, giving rise to Sessions Trial No.467 of 2016, registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 307 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Section 27 of the Arms Act. Later on Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code was added.

The specific allegation against the petitioner is of shooting in the abdomen of the informant, who succumbed to the injury. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 08.02.2016, charge has been framed and only three witnesses have been examined. Case No.621 of 2015, giving rise to Sessions Trial No.467 of 2016, pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge, 7th, Danapur, District Patna. However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same within a year.
