1. Though the present writ petition has been filed for directing the District Magistrate, Samastipur, to decide the application filed by the petitioner for making new O.D. Entry/carrying out new registration, in connection with License No.7652/NL/DMR, issued from Dimnapur, Nagaland, in terms of Rule 17 and 24 of the Arms Rules, 2016, however, at the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Samastipur, to decide the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner, within a stipulated time frame.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-

Patna High Court CWJC No.15076 of 2024(2) dt.01-10-2024 2/2 State submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Samastipur, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, in case the same has been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
