The petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in connection with Jamalpur P.S. Case No. 212 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 326, 504, 34, 427 of the Indian Penal Code and 3⁄4 Dowry Prohibition Act and later on Section 498A was added.

Informant is the wife of petitioner, who, in her written complaint, has stated that on 09.12.2017 at about 6:00 PM petitioner abused and assaulted the informant in drunken condition on trivial issues and also used to demand dowry from in laws.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.13983 of 2018(3) dt.05-04-2018 2/2 that he is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. Marriage was solemnized 15 years ago and as such there cannot be demand of dowry. FIR is false and concocted. It has been further submitted that petitioner has no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 24.12.2017. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner named above be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Munger, in connection with Jamalpur P.S. Case No. 212 of 2017. (S. Kumar, J) veena/- U T
