In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Mainatand P.S. Case No.135 of 2017, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 414 and 120(B)/34 of the Indian Penal code and under Section 110 of the Custom Act.
A truck coming from U.P. side was intercepted by the Police and from that truck paddy and Khair wood were recovered.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is neither the owner of the truck nor the owner of the paddy as transporter only booked consignment for transportation and has nothing to do with those materials.

No.18796 of 2018(2) dt.05-04-2018 2/2 Looking to the entire facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, Santosh Kumar, be released on anticipatory bail in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the S.D.J.M. Bettiah (West Champaran), in connection with Mainatand P.S. Case no.135 of 2017, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
