2. The present petition has been preferred for the grant of following relief(s):
"(i) issuance of an appropriate writ including a writ in the nature of writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to allot to the petitioner a suitable piece of land in place of the land acquired under Ganga Rail
2/4 Pariyojana, as per the undertaking/stand of the State Government and in terms of the directions of this Hon'ble Court in CWJC No. 10936 of 2007.
(ii) issuance of an appropriate writ including a writ in the nature of writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to take immediate steps to identify and allot alternative suitable land fit for residential purposes within a reasonable time frame.
(iii) issuance of an appropriate writ including a writ in the nature of Certiorari, for quashing Letter No. 4083 dated 12/05/2023, whereby the petitioner has been allotted 5 decimals of land in Mauza-Dujara Diara, Thana No. 137, which is wholly unsuitable for residential purposes being unsurveyed and flood-prone.
(iv) issuance of other appropriate writ(s), Order(s), direction(s) as may be deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."

Pursuant to the earlier order passed by the coordinate Bench on 01.11.2025, the Collector, Patna took pains and passed an order which reflects from memo no.428 dated 15.01.2026 and after detailing out the land, which the petitioner was demanding, being not feasible for her, direction has been issued that she should construct building on the land which has been allotted pursuant to the Land Settlement Case No.01 of 2021-22.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the exact location is still unknown to the petitioner and as such, the Circle Officer, Patna Sadar, be directed to ensure that the possession is granted to her.
5. The submission put forward by learned counsel for the petitioner is just and proper an order has been passed. The Collector, Patna has also taken note that she has been allotted land pursuant to the Land Settlement Case No. 01 of 2021-22.
6. In that background, the Circle Officer, Patna Sadar is duty bound to ensure that the possession of the land is completed in favour of the petitioner.
7. Learned State counsel submits that necessary instruction shall be issued to see to it that the Circle Officer, Sadar Patna ensures the lady gets possession of the land in

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Circle Officer, Patna Sadar to immediately act in the matter pursuant to the last order passed by the Collector, Patna vide memo no. 428 dated 15.01.2026 and see to it that the lady gets possession of the land which has been allotted to her.
