Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with K. Hat (Maranga) P.S. Case No.896 of 2017 (G.R. No.4441 of 2017), registered under Sections 341, 307, 386, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Section 27 of the Arms Act.
Allegation in brief is that the petitioner used to make demand of extortion of Rs.50,000/- from the Store Manager of Amrapali Group as after completion of the project, he was taking away the materials from the site. It is alleged that this petitioner also turned up and threatened the informant asking extortion and opened fire.
Submission is that some labourers who worked in the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.20045 of 2018(2) dt.05-04-2018 2/2 project approached the petitioner being a ward parshad for getting the wages paid by the concerned Company, so the petitioner went there and has falsely been implicated by the informant.
Having considered that there is specific allegation against the petitioner of demanding extortion money from the informant and there are five criminal antecedents against him of serious nature, so the prayer of bail of the petitioner is rejected in connection with K. Hat (Maranga) P.S. Case No.896 of 2017 (G.R. No.4441 of 2017) pending in the court of learned CJM, Purnea.
