2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Barauli P.S. Case No. 479 of 2023 registered for the offence under Sections 323, 341, 353 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 25(1-b)a and 26 of the Arms Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is accused of demanding extortion money from the local traders in the market. Upon search, one loaded country made pistol and a live cartridge were recovered from the petitioner.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has not committed any offence. Petitioner is in custody since 15.11.2023.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.70040 of 2025(2) dt.08-10-2025 2/2 opposed the prayer for bail and has submitted that the petitioner has eight criminal antecedents of similar and serious nature.

6. Considering the allegations levelled against the petitioner and the criminal antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this application for regular bail stands rejected. If the trial is delayed by the prosecution, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
