The petitioner has renewed his prayer for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, 481.2 litres of IMFL was recovered from the pick-up van and the petitioner who was the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 27.4.2022 (Annexure-1) passed in Cr. Misc. no. 67592 of 2021 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail on completing one year in custody. The petitioner

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the liberty granted by the aforesaid order dated 27.4.2022 together with the petitioner having remained in custody for 1 year 6 months since 14.9.2021, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Trial no. 3806 of 2022 (arising out of Daudnagar P.S. Case no.506 of 2021) on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge Excise-II, Aurangabad.
