The petitioner seeks bail in Kotwali P.S. Case No. 816 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 386, 385, 387/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Informant is the Sub Inspector of Police, who in his written complaint has alleged that on 06.11.2017 while he was on patrolling duty, he received oral complaint from the local shopkeepers that petitioner and three other accused persons as named in the FIR frequently used to demand ransom and also threaten to kill them if ransom is not paid to them and they kept local people under threat due to their criminal activities. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.15466 of 2018(3) dt.12-04-2018 2/2 there is no allegation against the petitioner by any shopkeeper and there is general and omnibus allegation against four accused named in the FIR. Petitioner is in custody since 28.11.2017. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner named above be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bhagalpur in connection with Kotwali P.S. Case No. 816 of 2017, subject to the condition that one of the bailors should be the father of the petitioner. (S. Kumar, J) ranjan/- U
