Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is elder brother of the husband of the victim. Husband is already in custody. The allegation is general and omnibus against other in-laws also. Petitioner is in custody since 19.11.2017. Investigation of the case is already closed. Petitioner is ready to cooperate with the trial. Learned counsel for the informant opposed the prayer for bail on the ground that in the FIR direct allegation of demand of dowry is against the petitioner.

Considering the entire facts aforesaid, let the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.1406 of 2018 (4) dt.23-03-2018 2/2 petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below where the case is pending in connection with Phulparas Police Station Case No. 224 of 2017, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation and trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
