Petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Supaul P.S. Case No.780 of 2023, registered for the offence punishable u/s 302, 504, 506/34 of the IPC.

As per the prosecution case, it is alleged that the petitioner was continuously harassing and chasing the minor daughter of the informant to solemnize marriage, for which, a Panchayati was organized and he assured to not repeat the same in future. On 09.10.2023, the petitioner intercepted the son of the informant in his way and informed to go and see the condition of his sister. On reaching home, the son of the informant saw the dead body of her sister, having strangulation

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.70683 of 2024(2) dt.22-10-2024 2/2 mark on her neck. The informant has raised apprehension that her daughter has been killed by the petitioner and his associates. 4.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is quite innocent and has not committed any offence. He has been falsely implicated in this case due to ulterior motive. It is submitted that the petitioner and the deceased had love affair and they wanted to solemnize marriage but the same was objected by the family of the deceased due to which, she was facing depression since long and one day, she committed suicide. There is no eye-witness to the alleged occurrence. Petitioner has no criminal antecedent.

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for bail by submitting that there is specific allegation against the petitioner. 6.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances and the fact that there is direct allegation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The prayer for grant of anticipatory bail on his behalf is hereby rejected. 7.

This application is accordingly dismissed.
