JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR ORAL ORDER 20-02-2018 Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in S.K.Puri PS Case No. 205 of 2017 (S.Tr. No. 718 of 2017) registered under Sections 307, 414/34 of the IPC and Sections 25(1-b)a, 26 and 27 of the Arms Act.

The allegation in brief is that the police patrolling party on suspicion stopped the petitioner going on a motorcycle but he started fleeing as also fired at the police party but the police personnel escaped and after chase overpowered him, recovered two country made pistols, cartridges, gold chain along with the looted motorcycle.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 7.8.2017.

Learned Counsel for the State submits that the petitioner made attempt on life of police personnel by shooting at them however the police recovered two country made pistols, live cartridges, gold chain and other items from his possession and is involved in several cases of loot so has several criminal antecedents. Having considered the said facts and circumstances, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. Snkumar/- (Arun Kumar, J.) U T
