1. The instant writ petition is filed challenging the order of punishment in departmental inquiry withholding three increments with cumulative effect and restraining petitioner's promotion for five years.

2. Being aggrieved, the petitioner filed a statutory appeal under Section 24 of the C.C.A Rules on 28th of November, 2022, however the said appeal has not been disposed of as yet.

3. Since the statutory appeal is pending, this Court is of the view that the instant writ petition is immature and liable

4. Therefore, without going into the merits of the writ petition, the same is dismissed, however the appellate authority is directed to dispose of the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner, expeditiously and preferably within three months from the date of communication of this order.
