Petitioners, already in custody, seek bail in connection with Town (Ratanpur) P.S. Case No.448 of 2016, registered under Sections 54 and 57 of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amended Act, 2016.
Allegation is that from a pick-up van under vegetables foreign liquor was recovered.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that except disclosure of name by the driver that it was being carried out by these three ladies, there is no other material, the petitioners were not on the vehicle, they have clean antecedent and the driver of
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.3824 of 2018(2) dt.25-01-2018 2/2 the pick-up van has been admitted to bail by a coordinate Bench of this Court.
Having considered the said facts and circumstances, petitioners, namely, Bebi Devi @ Bibha Devi @ Baby Devi, Karki Devi @ Shahti Devi and Datli Devi @ Jagtaran Devi are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-VIIth, Begusarai-cum-Special Judge Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act in connection with Town (Ratanpur) P.S. Case No.448 of 2016.
