1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the respondents.

2. The petitioners have filed the instant application

Patna High Court CWJC No.16958 of 2025(2) dt.25-11-2025 2/3 for the following reliefs:

"1. That the Petitioners above named crave the indulgence of this Hon'ble Court by way of issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus, commanding and directing the Respondent authorities to grant the Petitioners the financial benefits of five annual increments due on 01.07.2019, 01.07.2020, 01.07.2021, 01.07.2022 and 01.07.2023 by exempting them from passing the departmental examination during the period 11.12.2018 to 01.07.2023, which was admittedly not conducted due to the Respondents' own failure and administrative inaction. And/or any other relief or reliefs for which the petitioner is found entitled to in the facts and circumstances of the case."

At the outset, it is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the instant application be disposed of directing the Director, Directorate of Agriculture, Government of Bihar, Patna (Respondent no.5) to decide the representation of the petitioners within a reasonable time and to grant relief prayed for by the petitioner.

4. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and having gone through the contents of the petition, the instant application is disposed of directing the petitioners to file their

Patna High Court CWJC No.16958 of 2025(2) dt.25-11-2025 3/3 individual/separate representation before the respondent no.5 within a period of four weeks. In case such a representation is filed, the respondent no.5 shall decide the same within a period of three months from the date of its filing and in case any amount is found payable, the same shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of passing of the order by the respondent no.5.

6. In case any amount is not found payable/admissible, reasoned orders for the same shall be communicated to the petitioners within the aforesaid period.

7. It is made clear that the Court has not gone into the merits of the case of the petitioners which is to be decided by the respondent concerned.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations and directions.
