Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 417, 418 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code.

The FIR of the occurrence of demand of money from the examinees and their guardians for getting their marks increased is against unknown. During investigation, the petitioner was arrested and he confessed before the police that he is indulged in such activity and thereafter, the petitioner has been remanded in other cases also.

Submission of the learned counsel for the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.24385 of 2018 (2) dt.27-04-2018 2/2 petitioner is that he is in custody since 31.10.2017. Investigation of the case is already complete.

Learned counsel for the State as well as the informant opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the nature of allegation as well as period already undergone, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below where the case is pending in connection with Kotwali Police Station Case No. 239 of 2017, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation and trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
