In this case, the petitioner is seeking bail in connection with Rivilganj P.S. Case No.292 of 2018, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 341, 323, 307, 379, 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation against the co-accused including the petitioner is to have surrounded the informant and demanded extortion money, on refusal, they started scuffling with the informant and the present petitioner gave danda blow on the head of the informant from the back side, due to which, he became unconscious. The doctor has found the injuries grievous in nature.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. However, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer for bail after completion of two years in jail custody.
